The International Panel Products Symposium 2013 will be held in Llandudno, North Wales on October 9-10. Organised by the BioComposites Centre, the conference once again offers its successful blend of academic and industrial research with ample networking opportunities.

This year the conference kicks off with a session looking at wood based panels in the built environment, headed by Keynote speaker Prof Pete Walker (Bath University). The session allows the important issues of indoor air quality, and building thermal performance to be considered on a whole building basis as well as test methods for individual panels.

Day 2 starts with a consideration of resource availability, and raw materials for panels. Keynote speaker Prof Roger Rowell will set the scene with his talk on the hierarchical shift in wood panels. As always the conference features trade stands and a poster session - offering something for everyone.
