Homag Group's Q1 sales revenue climbs 31%

The Homag Group, a world leader in the manufacture of machinery and systems for the woodworking industry, reports that in Q1, 2017 its sales revenue climbed 31% to €401m (prior year: €306m).

Order backlog reached its highest level in the company's history with €520m as of March 31, 2017 and sales revenue increased 14% to €296m, compared to Euro €260m in Q1, 2016. The operating EBIT climbed to €23.2m (prior year: €16.5m).

"We had an extraordinarily good Q1," CEO Pekka Paasivaara emphasises. "In all major regions, particularly in North America, Europe and China, we were able to increase our order intake substantially."
