Greenply Industries opens India’s largest MDF plant

Greenply Industries Ltd, one of India’s leading manufacturers of plywood, high pressure laminates and decorative veneers, has just set up India’s largest MDF plant.
The new plant, called Green Panelmax, aims to have an annual capacity of 180,000m3. The project cost Rs 250 crores (US$52m).
This will be India’s first line to incorporate Dieffenbacher’s state-of-the-art continuous pressing technology.
The line also incorporates Metso’s latest generation EVO refiner, a latest generation Steinemann Satos eight head sanding line (the first in India) and the innovative Lukki two-dimensional panel storage system supplied by Dieffenbacher.
