Raute receives order for plywood mill
Published: 17 February, 2010
Raute Corporation plans to transfer the production activities of the Jyväskylä plant to the company’s plant in Nastola.
The company will initiate six weeks negotiations with the 14 workers at the Jyväskylä production unit (Jyväkylä employs 30 in total) to comply with the Act on Co-operation and clarify possible re-employment possibilities at other Raute units.
Raute has also received a significant order comprising almost all production lines for a plywood mill in the Asia-Pacific region.
The unnamed customer does not wish to offer further details about the project just yet. The value of similar mill-scale machinery deliveries made by Raute typically exceeds €15m.
