Kenogami Industries buys Longlac Wood Industries' idled mills

A consortium comprising a First Nation group, private investors and the Municipality of Greenstone in Ontario has acquired Longlac Wood Industries’ idled plywood and waferboard mills from Kruger Inc, reports The Chronicle Journal.
The group said in a mid-December statement that the unique partnership had come together with the goal of maintaining the mills and seeking other interests to create jobs and economic activity with value-added products.
The new company is to be called Kenogami Industries Inc.
