North America’s biggest MDF plant starts up

What is said to be the biggest MDF plant in North America has just gone into production.
Pfleiderer explained that the pressing line at Uniboard in Moncure, North Carolina has a capacity of 400,000m2 and complements an existing particleboard facility at the site.
Pfleiderer said the line would be Forest Stewardship Council certified at the end of December 2009, while another Uniboard operation – Mont Laurier, Québec is also due to have its production audited for FSC certification.
