Raute prepares for further layoffs

Raute Corporation has completed negotiations about additional temporary layoffs affecting some 140 hourly workers at its Nastola location.
The workers could be laid off for a maximum of 90 days if the company’s workload continues to deteriorate.The lay-offs will be implemented gradually depending on work availability.
Raute has made workforce adjustments as early as the end of 2008 when production was significantly reduced.
