Medite Europe Ltd and Titan Wood Ltd are exploring ways in which they can combine their expertise and know-how to jointly develop an economically viable, non-toxic, and stable MDF panel made from acetylated wood fibres.
Titan Wood parent company Accsys Technologies plc said the two companies had agreed to heads of terms related to a potential joint development agreement between the two companies.
Testing to-date has demonstrated enhanced durability and dimensional stability that Accsys claims “is substantially differentiated from standard MDF products and will allow their use in new and exciting applications, including outdoors”.
Medite is keen to explore the potential to expand its product offerings through the adoption of this new fibre based technology, said Accsys.
