Published: 07 May, 2009
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation is putting up C$60,000 to support efforts by the Municipality of Greenstone to explore potential uses for the idled Kruger Inc Longlac Wood Industries properties, facilities and fibre supply.
The money will go towards a feasibility study that will focus on identifying and prioritising redevelopment options, developing business cases and identifying potential investors.
The project is being supported by Longlac Wood Industries and the United Steelworkers, and an external consultant has been retained to conduct the study.
