Pfleiderer subsidiaries wodego and Duropal combined to furnish 1,425 cabins for the newly launched cruise ship AIDAluna.
The companies teamed up with Hamburg architects Partner Ship Design to deliver an olivewood decor for the 1,025 passenger cabins, while the 400 crew cabins were given a honey-coloured apple wood decor.
Cabinets, desks, beds, wall panelling, chair backs and cabin elements were made from Duropal’s high pressure laminates on wodego particleboard.
The companies previously teamed up for the interiors of previously launched AIDA vessels, the AIDAdiva and AIDA-bella.
Wodego manufactures around 880,000m2 of raw particleboard per year from Neumarkt – about 10% of Germany’s raw particleboard production and the largest particleboard manufacturing site in Europe.
