Published: 16 September, 2008
The Belgian laminate flooring manufacturer Unilin Flooring, part of the Mohawk Group, is planning to build a laminate flooring works in Russia.
In the first stage, the company intends to install a short-cycle press and a profiling line. Parallel to this, a treater may also be set up, but a decision on this has not yet been made.
An investment in the company’s own MDF/HDF plant is not envisaged for this initial investment phase.
At least during the starting period, HDF supplies for the laminate flooring works are to be guaranteed either through purchases from Russian
suppliers, or through imports.
