Plywood house building system trialled

UPM has teamed up with Danish architects to develop a new plywood house building system.

A pilot project has involved construction of a wooden villa in Denmark using UPM’s WISA spruce plywood as the structural material.

Architects Eentileen.dk believe the system, called Print a House, could be a significant innovation with considerable potential for use on international markets.

 “The modelling was by computer simulation and the plywood structures needed were made with a CNC machine,” said UPM.
