Browns picks Caberwood for new plant
Published: 09 January, 2012
Browns Bedrooms & Kitchens has switched to Norbord Caberwood MDF for the new production line at its Cramlington, Northumberland line.
The company has invested £45m in the new facility, which includes latest laser technology to apply high-gloss PUR acrylic coating to panels, and it has opted for the Caberwood Industrial Grade as its substrate for the plant.
The new line is still “bedding in”, but Browns estimates that it will be using a trailer, or 300 sheets, of MDF a month when fully on stream later this year.
