Ghana’s wood products exports rise 4.3%

Ghana’s wood products exports rose 4.3% in volume in the first quarter, according to the latest International Tropical Timber Association market report. The exports amounted to 97,400m3 and were worth €31m.
Exports to other African countries accounted for 40% of the total export value for wood products.
Plywood, kiln-dried and air-dried lumbers were the major export products during Q1, contributing 37%, 19% and 17% respectively of the total export volume. Veneer had a 9% share in the export volume.
