Georgia-Pacific LLC has completed the purchase of Grant Forest Products Inc’s OSB facility at Englehart, Ontario, as well as the associated facility at Earlton, Ontario, and OSB facilities at Allendale and Clarendon counties in South Carolina, for about US$400m.
Calling the acquisition “a long-term, strategic investment by Georgia-Pacific,” Mark Luetters, president, Georgia-Pacific Wood Products, said the Atlanta-based company was committed to working closely with employees, customers, suppliers, local government and business to ensure a smooth transition.
“We look forward to hitting the ground running and maximising the potential of these facilities," he said.
