Plywood alternative, being trialled in UK
Published: 30 June, 2010
Major UK retailers are trialling a plywood replacement board made entirely from recycled waste plastic, according to a report by Materials Handling World Magazine.
Retailers see the board, EcoSheet, produced by 2K Manufacturing of Luton, UK, as a way to help meet their sustainable construction and waste reduction commitments.
Leading South West England and South Wales construction company ISG Pearce used the product for external site hoardings at a branch of Asda in Clapham Junction, London, and at Marks & Spencer in Bath.
