GP soon to complete acquisition of Grant assets
Published: 17 May, 2010
A US bankruptcy Court has recently approved the sale by Grant Forest Products Inc of its Allendale and Clarendon, South Carolina, OSB mills to Georgia-Pacific LLC.
GP said that the approval was the last in a series of governmental requirements on both sides of the US and Canadian borders that it needed to proceed with its acquisition of selected Grant assets.
With this latest approval, GP said it expected to complete the purchase of Grant Forest Products' OSB and related facilities in Englehart and Earlton, Ontario, and Allendale and Clarendon, “in the near future”.
