Dieffenbacher signed a contract for the supply of a particleboard production line in March 2010, with Vina Eco Board Co Ltd (VECO), a subsidiary of Sumitomo Forestry Company Ltd from Japan.
This is now the third order from Vietnam for a wood panel production line and production for this latest project is scheduled to start in Q4 of 2011.
The annual production output of this line, which features an 8ft wide and 24.5m long CPS press, is 250,000m3.
In addition to the press system, the scope of supply includes the green end with wood feed, chipper, chip silo and flakers. In addition, Dieffenbacher will supply the heat generation plant, the drum dryer, the dry chip preparation system and sifter, the gluing system, the forming and pressing line and the complete plant electrical system and automation system.
The plant is located at the Phu An Thanh industrial park in the Ben Luc district of the Long An province in the Mekong delta, approximately an hour away from Ho Chi Minh City.
