Environmental Product Declarations for Medite MDF products

Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) are a standardised way of quantifying the environmental impact of a product or system which can be used to help manufacturers target impact reductions and engage with the supply chain.

EN 15804 EPD identifies and assesses the environmental effects associated with building materials over their lifecycle - that is their extraction, processing, use, maintenance and eventual disposal.

This method is based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis. The aim is to provide consistent environmental information, covering the most important impacts, for all construction products and building constructions.

EPDs provide designers and architects with a method of identifying and assessing the environmental effects and impacts connected with building/construction materials, products and building systems.
