Egger expands production capacities of its St Johann mill in Austria
13 February 2018Egger has invested in a new short-cycle press at its St Johann mill in Austria as the company plans to expand its production capacities to meet the constantly growing demand of its benchmark products with synchronised pore structures.
Egger has placed an order for a KT700 machine with Siempelkamp. With a specific pressure of up to 700N/cm2, the KT700 can economically manufacture such innovative products as synchronised pore panels with decors that have a natural-looking embossed wood grain structure.
Due to its multi-piston design the KT700 reduces the pressure-less exposure time to only 0.8sec, an absolute peak figure for laminating press technology customary in the market.
The press is scheduled to be installed at the Egger headquarters in St Johann in August 2018 with start-up expected December 2018.
