Brazil's wood based panel exports increase by 70%
4 May 2016The volume of wood based panels exported from Brazil in the first two months of 2016 amounted to 124,000m3, a 70% increase over the same period last year, reports the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO).
Total earnings from the export of wood based panels, pulp and paper in the first two months of 2016 amounted to $1.4 billion, a 19.7% increase compared to the same period in 2015.
Domestic sales of wood based panels totalled 961,000m3 in the first two months 2016, 8% lower compared to the same period last year.
