2017 proving good for timber and panel imports to UK
19 April 2017The latest Monthly Statistics from the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) show that 2017 has started well for timber and panel imports. Import volume in the first month of 2017 was 26% higher than 2016 amounting to 186,000m3 increase.
Solid wood imports were 18% higher than in January 2016 and panel products were 45% higher.
Although this is an outstanding performance, it should be noted that, in general terms, January 2016 saw low volumes of timer imports in in comparison to the same month in previous years.
